Free AI course generator and richer lessons

This is a written-up look back at 2-9 August 2026, a shorter period than the others. I put it together in October from the git history of our app repositories. Everything here is code on our staging branch, not a launch announcement, because PersonaCart is pre-launch.

In short

• Course creation got three upgrades: start from your own document, lessons that include simple diagrams, and an editable video script.
• A free public AI course generator was built. A visitor gets a real preview, then can claim it by signing up.
• Digital products moved from a download count to a re-download window, and live chat between buyer and creator was built.

What we tried to build

Our generated lessons were reading as walls of text, because the only thing the generator enforced was word count. A good lesson has structure and a picture. So the main goal was to make the generator produce lessons that read like lessons, and to let a creator start from their own material instead of a blank prompt.

What we built for courses

• Start from your own document. The create-course dialog accepts an upload. A small separate service reads PDFs into text, and the generator builds the course from it.
• Lessons with structure. Generated lessons are now checked for more than word count: headings and list items, plus a set of teaching-quality checks that run in every supported language. A formatting pass can tidy lessons that were already generated, and it cannot change a word.
• Lessons that draw. A lesson can carry one of four diagram shapes: a flow, a cycle, a comparison or a hierarchy. They are drawn from the labels alone, so there is no image to upload.
• Video scripts. The AI video script is reachable from the course list and the course page, and you can edit it.

The free course generator

We built a public version of the generator. A visitor describes a course and gets a real preview: the full structure and the first two lesson bodies. If they like it, they sign up and claim it, and a normal full generation runs in their account. There are limits to stop abuse: one per email per day, a daily budget cap, and checks against throwaway email addresses. Nothing is created in a visitor's name until they claim it.

Digital products and the shop

• Re-download window. A creator now picks a period during which a buyer can download again, instead of a count of downloads. The delivery email states the deadline, and the order page and the buyer's downloads page show it.
• A live product needs a file. A digital product cannot be published without a file. If a live one loses its file, it is taken down and the creator is told.
• Header and menus. The creator chooses a menu type (automatic, dropdown, mega or drawer), controls the mega panel's columns, and search works on a phone. Social icons use a named platform picker and now link somewhere.
• Cart. The cart asks before a coupon swap that would cost the buyer money.
• Agent shopping. Public stores expose tools so an AI shopping agent can search products, use the cart and start checkout. It returns a link for the shopper to pay, and it cannot read orders or customer data.

Live chat and visibility

• Live chat between buyer and creator. A settings panel with office hours, a creator console, file sharing, and an anonymous visitor as a first-class chat user.
• Search and AI visibility. Product price, rating, a real review quote and author information are now in the AI-readable feed, structured data was extended, and Pie gained an SEO and AI-visibility audit tool.

What it means for a coach or academy

If you already have a PDF guide or a slide deck, you do not have to retype it. Start from the file, check the structure, edit the script, and you have a course draft. If you sell digital downloads, a time window is easier to explain to a buyer than a count.

The free generator is a good first step if you are curious: try it, then decide.
