This is a written-up look back at one week of work on PersonaCart, 24 to 30 August 2026, written on 12 October 2026 from our code history. Period covered: 24-30 August 2026.
In short
- The lead feature was prepaid session packs: a coach sells a 10-pack, a client spends it, and the balance is tracked.
- Live classes became editable, and booking products can now ask clients for a signed waiver.
- We added a one-click export of your contacts and a tidier support inbox that joins tickets and live chat.
All of this is built and on our staging branch. The platform is pre-launch and our own accounts are the main users.
The lead feature: session packs
Ask a trainer how they get paid and many say the same thing: clients buy a bundle. Ten lessons, ten classes, ten swims. It is how private coaching and small group sessions are sold across the world. We had single bookings. We did not have a pack.
What we built:
- A new product type, the session pack. You set how many sessions it grants, what they can be used on (any session, or one specific one) and when unused sessions expire. Expiry is a simple choice: never, or 1, 3, 6 or 12 months.
- A price in credits on a session. A session can cost cash, cash or credits, or credits only.
- A balance you can trust. We did not store one number that goes up and down. We keep a list of every grant and every use, and work out the balance from it. So if a coach cancels a session, the credit returns to the pack it came from, with its original expiry date.
- A credits tab on the customer page. You see the balance, where each lot came from, when it expires and the full history. A "Give credits" button needs a reason, so there is always a record.
- Clear wording for the buyer. A session priced in credits says so on the product page, and the buyer can see the balance.
The honest limit: this is built, not launched. We have not rolled session packs out to customers.
The other things that moved
Classes you can edit. A live class series used to be write-once. Fix a seat count and you had to delete the class and rebuild it. Now you can edit a class that is live, move one single session, and set a minimum number of attendees. A schedule change is refused once someone has booked, so nobody's booking is quietly changed under them.
Waivers and intake forms. Bookable products (events, bookings, services) can ask clients to answer questions and sign with a typed name. The time and the address are stamped by the server. A signed waiver attaches to the customer, not only to one order.
Moving your contacts in and out. The customer page has "Export all data": one ZIP with contacts, bookings and payments. In the other direction, a contact import built for the files other coaching software exports splits names, keeps role and join date, lets you edit the column mapping and flags duplicates in plain words.
Support and chat. Tickets and live chat now sit in one Support Inbox with tabs. The chat widget got its own design settings (including dark mode), and the creator can name the buyer assistant and switch its AI on or off, depending on plan. A buyer gets a notification bell with an unread count on the storefront.
Page builder. Copy and paste a section from one page to another, or export and import it. You can cut a row into a grid by dragging dividers. Recently viewed and Collection list sections can now be added from the picker. A Product Spotlight section shows a real product from your catalogue. Card grids can scroll sideways. The AI Component tool lets you paste HTML and choose from generated candidates, and see what each AI step costs before you run it.
Certificates. The rule for awarding a certificate now sits on one screen, with a "manual" option, and "all quizzes passed" works as a real condition.
What it means for a coach or academy
Packs change cash flow. A client who pays for ten sessions in advance is a client who comes back. You no longer track credits in a notebook. Editing a live class means a typo in the seat count no longer costs you the class. And a signed waiver in the same place as the booking is one less paper form at the door.
Coaches who run team programs should also read about the Academy, which is a separate product area from the online store. Plans are on /pricing.
What is next
The following week's history shows Pie working more quietly and reporting weekly. That is the next post.

Frequently asked questions
Can a client use a session pack on any class?
It depends on how you set the pack. You can let it cover any session, or only one session you choose.
What happens to a credit if I cancel a session?
The credit returns to the pack it came from, and keeps that pack's expiry date.
Can I edit a class after it is live?
Yes. You can edit a live series, move one session and set a minimum. Schedule changes are refused once someone has booked.
