The PersonaCart Journey, post 7 of 21 - 21 June-4 July 2026
Pie gets a live workspace and email approvals
In late June we gave Pie a live workspace and a way to ask for your approval by email. This is a written-up look back at that fortnight.

This is a written-up look back at 21 June-4 July 2026, put together in October from the git history of our app repositories. Everything here is code on our staging branch. None of it is a launch claim, because PersonaCart is pre-launch.
Period covered: 21 June-4 July 2026.
In short
- Pie, our assistant, got a live workspace: answers stream in as they are written, and you can talk to it with a voice microphone.
- Pie can now ask for your approval in an email, and one click approves it, without logging in.
- Smaller wins: a clearer domains screen, a course player that remembers where a learner stopped, and a first version of importing a single page from a URL.
What we tried to build
I wanted Pie to stop being a chat box and become a place where you see what is going on in your store and decide what happens next. The key rule we kept was that Pie proposes and you approve. So most of this fortnight was about making that loop easy: see the suggestion, understand it, approve or dismiss it.
What we built
- Pie's live workspace. The chat renders token by token, so you see the answer forming and a status line that says Pie is working. It scrolls the way a normal chat does, with the newest message at the bottom and a pinned action bar.
- Voice input. A microphone button with a live waveform, a stop control and transcription.
- A scan that remembers. Pie can compare the latest scan with the previous one, and shows a short history of earlier scans, so you can see what changed since last time.
- Approvals. Suggestions land in an inbox where you approve or dismiss them. Approving now runs the action for one class of safe, reversible changes.
- Approval by email. Pie can send a decision email that states exactly what it wants to do. A single click approves it, with no login. There is an Approve-all link, and a setting for the email channel. Approval emails use the same branded template as the rest of Pie's email.
- A forward plan. The code now builds a seven-day plan for your store, and a morning card on the home page summarises yesterday.
- A credit meter. A small meter in the profile menu shows how much of your AI allowance you have used.
- Pie's voice. We added rules so Pie's wording avoids the stock phrases that make text sound machine-written.
Other work worth knowing
- Domains. The Domains settings page was rebuilt as three clear cards. The page shows a plain diagnostic when a domain is not serving yet, a branded holding page appears for a host that is not ready, and the free PersonaCart address is pinned at the top.
- Courses. The learner player resumes where you stopped, has next and previous buttons and moves on automatically. Course generation can resume after a failure without duplicating quizzes, and a creator can delete a lesson straight from the outline.
- Import. A first wizard reads one page from a URL and copies it into a page you can edit. It refuses addresses that are not a single page, such as a site root.
- Orders and email. Order emails were translated into the other languages we support. Abandoned-cart emails can now include the cart contents and a recovery link, and an order page has a Mark as Paid button.
- Support. The code for a voice call between a creator and our support team was built, along with a console for agents and a call log.
- Small items. A keyboard-shortcut system with a command palette, and a smoother language switch.
What it means for a coach or academy
If you run a small operation, you do not have time to watch dashboards. An email that says "Pie wants to do this, approve?" fits how coaches already work, from the phone between sessions. The rails stay the same: Pie suggests, you decide.
The course player is quieter but real. A learner who closes the tab and comes back lands where they left off.
What is next
The next fortnight shifted to the page editor, product variants and the shop. That is the next post.

Frequently asked questions
Does Pie act without asking me?
In this period the work was built around approval. Suggestions go to an inbox and email, and the first class of actions that runs on approval is limited to safe, reversible changes.
Can I approve from my email?
Yes, the code supports a decision email with a one-click approve link that needs no login, plus an Approve-all link. It is on our staging branch, not announced as launched.
Is there a limit on Pie's usage?
The profile menu now shows a meter of your AI usage against your plan. The actual allowance depends on the plan, so see the [pricing page](/pricing) for current details.
