AI Connect: Your Assistant, Your Approval
In the week of 28 September to 4 October we built AI Connect, where an outside AI assistant can prepare changes but you approve them. A written-up look back.

This is a written-up look back at 28 September to 4 October 2026. I am writing it on 12 October from our commit history. Period covered: 28 September - 4 October 2026.
In short
- AI Connect: you can connect your own AI assistant to your store, and every change it wants to make waits for your approval.
- Schedules can now be made once and attached to many products, with a calendar feed.
- Import connectors for Squarespace, Kajabi, WooCommerce and Stripe members were added.
The main thing: AI Connect, with you holding the pen
Many creators already use an AI assistant for writing and ideas. This week we built a way to let that assistant work inside your PersonaCart store without giving it free rein.
In the app on our staging branch there is now a Connect AI page in settings. It lists connected apps first, named by the app that is calling. Next to it are three tabs: Keys, Approvals and Activity. A card for "any other app" lets you connect a custom one. There is also a setup tab for Codex, and an "Edit with Claude" action in more places.
What the assistant can do is limited by design:
- It can read your store, preview a page, and check the quality of a draft against its design source.
- When it wants to change something, such as publishing a page, it creates an approval instead. You see it in a list. The list warns you if a price or stock level changed since the request, so you do not approve something out of date.
- An approval runs once. Approving it twice does not do it twice.
- A key can be paused, and the key list says why.
Every plan gets AI Connect. Plans differ only in how much you can use, which you can read on pricing.
I want to be plain about the limit: this is built and we are testing it with our own accounts. We have not opened it to anyone else yet.
Schedules you make once
Until now a class schedule belonged to one product. Now Commerce has a Schedules list. You make a schedule once, "at an address" or "online" with a join link only buyers see, and attach it to as many products as you like. Any product type can have a schedule tab. A calendar feed lets a buyer subscribe in their own calendar app, and an order confirmation carries the product's schedule. A service variant can have a number of seats, so a class day can show Sold out.
A new Live Class section shows the week's classes on a page, in six layouts including a scoreboard style, with a guided setup inside the editor.
Other things built this week
- Importing: connectors for Squarespace Commerce, Kajabi and WooCommerce, and a way to bring members over from a Stripe account. When an import is long, you get a bell, an email and a push when it finishes. An imported page's look is offered as a proposal: you apply it on purpose and can undo it for a period afterwards.
- BioLink: save a BioLink as a draft before publishing, and delete one with a restore window.
- Background work: a ring in the header and a tray show long jobs in progress.
- Theme: body text size as a plain choice: Small, Standard, Large. Heading sizes can be pinned per level.
- Lists: customers, discounts, affiliates and inventory pages now search, filter and sort on the server, so big lists load fast and show true totals.
- Pie: the launcher button can be moved to any corner.
What it means for a coach or academy owner
If you already write your session notes with an AI assistant, you can have it draft a page or a product and still keep the decision. If you teach classes at set times, one schedule can feed several products: a drop-in, a monthly pass and a camp. If you are moving from another platform, the import tools mean you do not retype your catalogue.
See the AI course generator and tools for things you can try now, and BioLink for your link page.
What is next
The next week is almost entirely Academy: teams, coaches and parents.

Frequently asked questions
Can the AI assistant change my store on its own?
No. When it wants to make a change, such as publishing a page, it creates an approval that waits for you. An approval runs once, and the list warns you if a price or stock level changed since the request.
Which plans include AI Connect?
Every plan includes it. Plans differ only in how much you can use; see the pricing page for the current limits.
What can I import from other platforms?
The code has connectors for Squarespace Commerce, Kajabi and WooCommerce, and a way to bring members over from a Stripe account. They are built and being tested.
