Billing, Renewals & Refunds Policy
Last Updated: July 22, 2026
This Policy explains how PersonaCart subscriptions are billed, how automatic renewal works, how to cancel, and when refunds are available. It forms part of our Terms of Service.
There are two completely different kinds of payment on PersonaCart, and they are handled by different parties:
- Part A — what you pay PersonaCart for your creator subscription. PersonaCart is the merchant of record. This Policy governs it.
- Part B — what a Buyer pays a Creator for products in a Creator Store. The Creator is the seller and merchant of record, not PersonaCart. The Creator's own policy governs it.
Part A — Your PersonaCart Subscription
A1. Automatic Renewal — Please Read
PersonaCart subscriptions renew automatically. In plain terms:
- When you subscribe, you are enrolling in a recurring plan, not a one-time purchase.
- At the end of each billing period, your plan renews automatically for another period of the same length — monthly plans renew monthly, annual plans renew annually.
- We will charge the payment method you have on file the then-current price for your plan and billing interval, plus any applicable taxes (including Indian GST where it applies), without asking you again.
- This continues until you cancel. There is no end date.
- You can see your plan, your price, your billing interval, and your next charge date at any time in your account under Settings → Billing.
- You can cancel at any time, in a few clicks, from that same screen — see A4.
Where the law requires it, we will also send you a renewal reminder before an annual renewal or before a material change takes effect.
A2. Prices, Currency, and Taxes
Current prices and plan limits are shown on our pricing page and in the checkout flow, and are the authoritative statement of what you are buying. Prices may be shown in your local currency where we support it; the currency and any applicable tax are displayed before you pay. Taxes such as US sales tax, VAT, and Indian GST are added where required and may change if the applicable rate or your billing location changes.
We may change prices, plan structures, and included limits. For an increase to your recurring fee or a material reduction in your plan's limits, we give you at least 30 days' notice, and the change applies from your next renewal on or after that period. If you do not accept it, cancel before it takes effect — that is your remedy. See Section 5.4 of the Terms.
A3. Upgrades, Downgrades, and Trials
- Upgrades take effect immediately. We charge the prorated difference for the remainder of your current period, and your new plan's limits apply straight away.
- Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period. You keep your current plan and its limits until then. Downgrades are not refunded, because you have already received the higher plan for the period you paid for.
- Switching between monthly and annual follows the same rules: to a longer or higher-value term it is treated as an upgrade; to a shorter one, as a downgrade.
- Free trials, where offered, convert into a paid subscription at the end of the trial unless you cancel before it ends. The plan, price, and conversion date are shown to you before the trial starts and in Settings → Billing during it. If you do not want to be charged, cancel before the trial ends.
- Credits, promotional discounts, and account balances have no cash value, are not refundable or transferable, and are applied to future invoices only.
A4. How to Cancel
You may cancel at any time, and cancelling is as easy as subscribing:
- Go to Settings → Billing in your PersonaCart account and choose Cancel subscription; or
- Email [email protected] from your account email address with the word "Cancel" and your account email.
We will confirm your cancellation by email. Cancellation stops future renewals; it does not refund the period you have already paid for. You keep full access until the end of that period, and your account then moves to a free or restricted state as described in the Terms. You do not need to speak to anyone, accept a retention offer, or give a reason.
A5. Refunds — When You Get Your Money Back
14-day money-back guarantee on your first subscription. If you are not satisfied with PersonaCart, you may request a full refund of your first subscription payment within 14 days of that first payment. We do not ask you for a reason.
Conditions, stated plainly so there are no surprises:
- It applies once per person or business, to the first paid subscription on the account — not to later plans, later accounts, or repeat signups.
- It applies to the subscription fee only, not to taxes already remitted to a tax authority where those are non-recoverable, and not to any third-party cost purchased through us (for example a domain registration).
- It does not apply where the account has been used in breach of our Terms or Acceptable Use & Fair Usage Policy, or where we reasonably consider the request abusive — for example, repeated signup-and-refund cycles, or bulk usage of plan allowances immediately before requesting a refund.
Renewal payments are not refundable. Once a renewal has been charged, that period is not refunded — cancel instead, and your subscription will run to the end of the period you have paid for. This is why we make the renewal date visible in your account at all times.
Exceptions we do honour. Notwithstanding the above, we will refund a renewal charge where the law requires it, and we may at our discretion refund where a genuine billing error occurred on our side, where a documented technical failure prevented you from using the plan for a material part of the period, or where we terminate your subscription for our own convenience and not for your breach.
No refund on termination for breach. If we suspend or terminate your account for breach of the Terms or of the Acceptable Use & Fair Usage Policy, amounts already paid are not refunded.
A6. How to Request a Refund
Email [email protected] with your account email address and, if you wish, the reason. We review and respond within 3–5 business days. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method; your bank or card issuer may take a further 5–10 business days to post the funds, which is outside our control.
A7. Failed Payments and Chargebacks
If a payment fails, we may retry it over a period of days, notify you, and restrict, downgrade, or suspend your account until it succeeds. Keeping a valid payment method on file is your responsibility.
Please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank. Most disputes are billing questions we can resolve immediately. If a chargeback is raised, we may suspend the account while it is investigated, and we may recover the disputed amount and any related fees from you. Raising a chargeback for a charge you authorised does not release you from amounts owed.
A8. Price Changes and Grandfathered Pricing
If we change the price of a plan, your price does not change while you stay on your current tier. Specifically:
- Your current price is held for 24 months from the date of the change. We never change the price mid-term.
- After 24 months we may move you once to the then-current price, minus a permanent 15% founding-member discount, with at least 120 days' written notice, effective at your first renewal after that notice period. If you have prepaid annually, you always complete the term you paid for at the old price.
- Your held price belongs to your plan, not to your account. If you move to a different tier, that tier's current price applies. The upgrade screen tells you this before you confirm.
- A held price ends if you cancel and sign up again more than 60 days later, or if you downgrade and later upgrade again.
If you do not accept a price change, you may cancel before it takes effect, as described in A4.
Part B — Products Bought from a Creator's Store
PersonaCart does not sell the products offered in Creator Stores and is not the merchant of record for those purchases. Each Creator is an independent business that sells directly to its Buyers, sets its own prices, terms, delivery, and refund policy, and receives payment into its own connected payment account.
If you are a Buyer and want a refund, cancellation, or help with an order, contact the Creator you bought from — their contact details and refund policy are published on their store, and their name appears on your payment statement. PersonaCart cannot issue refunds for Creator orders, cannot compel a Creator to issue one, and is not responsible for a Creator's products, claims, delivery, or conduct.
If you are a Creator, you must publish a clear refund and cancellation policy, honour it, comply with consumer-protection law in every market you sell to, and handle your own Buyer disputes. You are responsible for all refunds, chargebacks, reversals, fines, and negative balances on your orders, as set out in Section 7 of the Terms.
PersonaCart may, entirely at its discretion and without any obligation, provide tooling or assistance in a Buyer–Creator dispute. Doing so in one case creates no duty to do so in any other and does not make us a party to any sale.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy at any time; the "Last Updated" date above will change. Material changes are notified as described in Section 18 of the Terms.
